Among the consequences of economic growth that badly lags national averages are billions of lost revenue every year. Yet denial reigns in Illinois, fueling the vicious cycle of demand for higher taxes.
How Much Fun Is That? Better yet that percentage is increasing and not decreasing.
So if you are a rat on that ship and you say you can’t leave, at what point is the decision made for you? You stay you drown. If you leave at this point, you may have some chance to survive.
If you stay, how do you see this ending? At this point, if you are still there, you are approaching the realm of “You deserve what you get.”

Agreed. The phrase originated in tech some years ago as “If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product.” But broaden it as stated and it’s indeed a great motto for how our government works.
