A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
I’ve noticed the same thing elsewhere. Type A personalities who are computer savvy and who stay on top of things jump online and capture the available appointments. As it happens, most of these “folks” are Asian or White. We could try to fix this by having people line up outside in the rain and cold to get their appointments. Chicago specifically designs its vaccine distribution to be ‘equitable’ and it STILL messes it up. Incompetence. They can’t even get social equity correct.
