“Any time 80-plus white supremacists show up somewhere, it is definitely troubling,” said Carla Hill, a research fellow at the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremisms. “That’s quite a large group of people to get together and hold that ideology in unity.” However, Hill said the turnout likely represented “a good portion of their active members from across the country.”
Marquette Park used to see folks of the same ilk come out and march regularly all through the 70s and 80s. The area was populated by Holocaust and Holodomor survivors at that time, yet there was none of this ‘clutching our pearls’ faux outrage that is so currently en vogue. Instead, the neighborhoods let opinions be put out there, albeit with clutched fist, knowing that to censor them would just be a return to what they’d already survived and left earlier in the century. Ideas need to see the light of day, and the light of day needs to sanitize… Read more »

Since the Mainstream Media is the propaganda machine of the Democrat party I suspect that their definition of “white supremacists” is deeply questionable. It could be 80 members of Knights of Columbus or 80 Rotarians and would satisfy the Democrat propaganda machine’s pliable smearing ‘definition”

So they admit it is a *fringe* group, of no real consequence…
It’s not what they purport it to be – the default position of all white people…
“80 is a good portion of active members *across the nation*…”
Lets be generous & say its 1/2 of their membership, so 160 out of 350 million…
Hardly an existential threat…

The white supremacists probably gathered to support the CTU’s refusal to teach minority children

How is it that “white supremacy” did not exist until about 4 years ago? The same people who complain about the “alarming rise” of white supremacy, are the same people who called Trump an anti-semite, despite having jewish family, being supportive of Israel, and strongly condemning any instances of anti-semitism.

Freedom of assembly is the individual right to peacefully assemble, collectively express, and petition the government for redress of grievances guaranteed by the First Amendment to the US Constitution. Deeply troubling to Mao, Adolf, Uncle Joe and Carla.

But 5000 BLM rioters and looters destroying Micigan Ave are peaceful protesters. Sure.
I am afraid I won’t accept the SLPC definition of white supremacy. That could read “any Republican”. However, the ADL saying they were anti-semitic is probably true. As an American, I am glad they were able to exercise their right to peaceable assembly. I am sad that they see things the way they do and I don’t agree with them.
I had never heard of this group until today, so I researched them.
White nationalism isn’t great but neither is “La Raza” *(the hispanic race) or BLM “(only) Black Lives Matter”. It’s all harmful, identitarian divisive rhetoric that has no place in a modern society.
Blm is a domestic terrorist organization which must be destroyed by any means necessary. No matter the method or cost, they must all go. They have destroyed the country.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

OBLM….
I like it, it’s a more accurate description of their agenda…
I always felt that if they just added a T, making it BLMT…
Black Lives Matter *too*….
I might be more sympathetic then…
Still, the facts remain, blm is based upon lies…
BLMT is actually a better slogan, so much more inclusive, instead of divisive.
Do not capitalize blm it shows you are complicit. Stop defending these scum.
I capitalized because it was the beginning of a sentence, not because I am complicit!
