Illinois Comptroller’s Office Finds Itself Paying $3.5 Million For PPE In McDonald’s Parking Lot During Coronavirus Crisis – CBS2 (Chicago)

Mendoza’s staff has hopped on I-55 on two separate occasions, each time armed with checks for $3.5 million. After the successful drop at a McDonald’s parking lot in Dwight, days later more N95 respirator masks and eye shields were purchased from a vendor at a Road Ranger parking lot in Minooka.

Wonder if indiana (or Wisconsin) with thier $3 billion budget surplus and a fraction of a tax base has the same problem?
