A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
In a triage situation where resources are over-burdened, it seems to make sense to keep alive those organizations that have the potential to remain in business rather than those on their last legs that have little potential for long-term survival.
