Illinois May Not Hit Coronavirus Peak Until Mid-June, Pritzker Warns – NBC5 (Chicago)

“This does signal success,” Pritzker said. “A pushing out of our estimated ‘peak’ is a natural consequence of flattening the curve."

When would any risk be acceptable? I don’t understand what the endpoint is, constant claim that the “health care system is overtaxed”? No pun intended. Seriously, what does Big Boy set as some “appropriate number” and on what grounds? He admits here that flattening the curve causes a spike later …

When lock-down protests are shut down by police.

I wonder what Gov. Pritzker’s response would be if we/someone floated the idea of opening business’ if we “promised” to vote for his progressive/graduated/fair tax. Would his stance soften?

I once read a post on r/chicago that said: “The rest of the state would have slid into fascism by now if not for our city”. Should tell you everything you need to know about that group…

Hope all the folks who voted for the Democrat madness are happy. Pritzker clearly has a political agenda and is using the virus as an excuse.

It is simple: stop following the order. Mayors need to stop following it and allow their cities to open. Some already have. People need to do whatever they want. If the people, in large groups, stop following this, then it will end no matter what fat Pritz says. The police have better things to do, and many of them do not support this order anyway. Just stop following it. I am meeting with friends again and some select family. I am done with it in most ways.

What the F…..Our Forest Preserves are closed Friday thru Sunday!
This is an outrage, To add onto the closure of Churches and Businesses!
Open the Beaches!
Oh, but people are not allowed to criticize Pritzger’s Wife and Family for fleeing to Open Florida!…That’s SHAMEFUL!

As governor Bubblehead should lead by example. He has failed miserably in that regard. Do the kings bidding or else except for my family which should be of no concern to you peons. In addition he has failed in every aspect as governor. Following the demoncrats code of tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend, regulate, regulate, regulate he is now a shinning star of the party. Get ready for the Bobblehead for president campaign in 2024 or as a compromise in 2020 after Dementia Joe falls on his face.

The destruction of all small business and its associated employment in Illinois is clearly Pritzker’s goal. The Question is: WHY?

You know why: because social justice demands that he hate you.

I had a feeling long ago that he would try to find a way to extend the stay-at-home order beyond May 29. He will shut us down in perpetuity.
How much longer do we have to take this???????

Not one second longer

You don’t have to take it. Stop following it in every reasonable way possible, and have every single person you know do the same if they agree. Walk the walk, because talk with this doesn’t matter.

Sorry but this god damn shi-t needs to stop this man is a total idiot, and getting on my nerves. if models told him we would not hit are peak until June 2021 would he believe this, would we believe this.It is time to recall this governor, the natives are getting restless Pritzker and if you think people are going to put up with this much longer, you better look at the uprising starting in Michigan.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
