It seems to me that the order is being extended not as a power grab, but rather, as a way to deal with their own incompetence and negligence. The county buildings and the courts have been shut down since March. They’re supposed to open in two weeks. I have not seen anything, anywhere, explaining a plan to stagger court schedules, admit access to the disgustingly grimy courthouses, reopen the county building, those buttons in the elevator are gross gross gross.
