Good job, Lori. The same people who put you in office just proved the POTUS right. And when it’s all said and done, you’ll just double down on Orange Man Bad until the next useless twit takes over your office.

I write this for posterity:   Yesterday, Lori tells President Trump F U. She virtue signals her hate for the bad orange man.   Today, her entire business district is destroyed – completely destroyed – by members of her own political party. These are the actual bad people – your people – who destroy your city.   Lori, you are an incompetent idiot. Incompetence doesn’t even describe your patheticness. Your name deserves to go down in history as THE worst mayor in Chicago history, worse than Byrne, and now, Chicago won’t vote another woman mayor for at least a generation… Read more »

We have lost. Those of us who are Americans – sans hyphen. Those of us who believe in the Constitution, individual liberties, personal ownership and self determination, values, standards, entrepreneurship, and expectations… We lost. Our society in more interested in free stuff and the newest iPhone. Sad.

Oh yeah, Lori’s ghetto-speak will make Trump really motivated to give Illinois and Chicago bailout money. NOT! It’s not like the budget is how many millions or billions out of budget, right? Lori is in so far over her head, it is pathetic. But it is all ok, this will only accelerate the road to bankruptcy.

To hear this clown and her portly sidekick spout off about The President each day while Chicago has more shootings than Iraq is the pinnacle of gallows humor. Do you think they know that they’re the joke that everyone is laughing at? Hopefully, the people leaving Illinois in droves can her this schtick on the radio while they make their getaway. Highly entertaining!

That language will help you get more bailout money from the Federal government Mayor Lightfoot.

That’s real mature, Lori. What, do you have a 5th grader writing your responses to Trump?

Groot seems to be well versed in thug speak and behavior. Such a great example.

It’s president Trump to you, Mayor Lightfoot. He’s still your president Trump.

What a huge disappointment this mayor has turned out to be. In her own words, she is supposed to be a ‘leader’. What a great roll model for children, students, and even adults throughout Chicago using that language. She has already been in office approximately a year. She is simply turning into an angry, lecturing, incompetent, whiner. She is clueless on the budget. Her police department is moving rapidly in reverse (49 shootings last weekend). Her relationship with the federal government is non-existent. CPS is in chaos. Half the restaurants in Chicago are near BK. And she tows your car… Read more »

Great comment, Old Spartan.

She’s a rookie, and it shows. As a business owner, I was excited to hear her focus on eliminating Aldermanic Privilege. This is a big deal, because these guy (and gals) abuse the hell out of their position.

But it appears to me that what she is serving is indeed weak tea. Not much has been accomplished on that front.

Massive disappointment.

I am sure Pres. Trump’s feelings are really hurt by this. Lori needs to work on corralling the thugs in her own yard. Don’t black lives matter to her?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
