Chicago is suing the Trump administration. Here’s what the lawsuit claims – Chicago Tribune

The 60-page lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., accused President Donald Trump of playing politics with Americans’ health by refusing to open a special enrollment session for the Affordable Care Act despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Chicago and other cities have had to pick up the slack by providing uncompensated care to uninsured residents, the suit alleged.

LL is whining because “Chicago and other cities have had to pick up the slack by providing uncompensated care to uninsured residents…”   LL and Pritzker go off the rails locking down Illinois for months screaming hair-on-fire its gonna be 1918 influenza epidemic all over again. Businesses lay off employees and some are forced close down for good. Others trying to keep their heads above water want to open up and are fighting these 2 stooges while protesting rioters and looters are excused from the ‘pandemic’ to go and play burning down businesses (It’s the police fault).   Congratulations TDS… Read more »

“Congratulations TDS Larry and Moe, you’ve created a NINJA population now dependent on handouts from the state”

(Also I like the NINJA No Income No Job or Assets reference)

Let me get this right: Lightfoot is complaining about the costs of providing care to uninsured residents yet……Chicago insists on providing free care, free food, free housing and other goodies to criminal illegal immigrants? Lightfoot has a perverted set of priorities and clearly doesn’t give a fig about the taxpayers except as a source of revenue for her give-away plans.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
