Out of 279,114 confirmed cases 8,508 died or 3.1% in Illinois

Out of 12,000,000 population 8,508 died or 0.072% or 7/10ths of 1 %

Approx 1/2 of 8,508 died in nursing homes or 0.036% or 3/10ths of 1 % out of 12M

There is over 96% recovery rate statewide.

Over 655K die in the US from heart disease yearly
” 606K die from cancer
” 80K+ die from diabetes
Wouldn’t it be more prudent to put all the effort and money that’s going for a Covid vaccine to go to conquer those diseases?

Just a thought!

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
