A few middle manager schmucks at ComEd will take the fall, and Madigan will stay and get off. Offering a bribe is illegal in Illinois, but a Pol accepting a bribe is perfectly fine here.

Madigan will be reelected IL House speaker. No doubt. He controls the IL Democrat money and anyone who votes against him will receive the Ken Dunkin treatment.

Wouldn’t it be priceless for the Republicans to put him back in charge and let the Democrats wear the mantle for a couple more years…

I’m sure there’s some that can be bought, we’ve seen it before.

As long as Madigan hold the purse strings on the Democrat party cash hoard I wouldn’t count him out on anything.

Was at that concert at Arie Crown Theater April 19,1972. Emerson running up and down the aisles playing a portable keyboard. Those were the days.

I doubt it was that concert since that album (Brain Salad Surgery) wasn’t released until Nov. 1973. However, It might have been the Soldiers Field concert in the summer of 1977 I went to. They were amazing. No running with a portable keyboard although he was strapped into an organ than spun him around and around upside down

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
