Pritzker: Added restrictions to remain in place as experts warn of COVID-19 surge due to Thanksgiving travel – WGNTV (Chicago)

“We are still very much in a precarious place and we have got to take the time to evaluate any Thanksgiving effect before we make any premature adjustments,” Pritzker said. Stricter Tier 3 coronavirus mitigation measures will remain in place across Illinois until mid-December, at least.

While there might be an increase in the amount of cases I wouldn’t place the blame on Thanksgiving travel but instead recognize that what is commonly called flu season is upon us. Nothing new here except once again the bully, whom the Illinois voters voted for, is having another power trip tantrum.

So he will downgrade regions based on metrics but if regions meet the criteria to advance to a higher tier, said metrics do not apply. What is the recall process in Illinois?

I’d say “Eat My Shorts” fatboy…. But you probably would. I don’t have anything of substance to add anymore. I flew back from Florida yesterday on a completely – 100% booked plane – 2.5 hour flight – packed like normal on a plane – no open middle seats… I’m sure plenty of people on the plane were Chicagoans/Illinoisans who could give a rat’s ass about what JB Pudster has to say anymore. We may not be fighting back like we see Canadian’s and Europeans fighting back, but Americans do seem to finally be standing up against this nonsense.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
