Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. They are afraid. If you stick your head up it gets chopped off. These people are truly evil, they hold the tax payers hostage, the children hostage and their own members who have no choice to opt out of the union. It’s disgusting. It’s un-American. It’s sending working class, upper class and anyone with means to leave out of the city undoing decades of work getting respectable schools back in the CPS system. CTU making it crystal clear that it is not and never has been “about the children”. It is nothing but a radical political action group, which has threatened and bullied its way into control of our schools and children.
Those three words are so overused that their effectiveness is gone.
The CTU needs to stop blocking the schoolhouse door. Minority children want to learn!!
