Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. So the media found the Nutty Professor to give them the talking points they want to hear. It is all mumbo jumbo ponderings and nothing more. We’ll be able to keep score every weekend when we see how many were shot and killed in Chiraq.
Papachristo needs to get out of the north shore and live a condo in the south loop for the next 9 months. He will then experience the impact of failing State’s Attorney, judicial and jail policies. It will be very hard to turn around from no consequence crime, as these incompetent politicians are all still running the low / no bail show.
I came here to bash Prof. Papachristo too. A two minute review of his twitter feed shows he’s the wokest sociology professor around. No bail, wholesale release of felons, and Kim’s failure to prosecute along with Tim’s failure to hand down appropriate convictions have condemned this city to an ever increasing murder count. The best solution for the average law abiding citizen is to move some place where laws are enforced instead of being ignored. Thirty or so years ago I was in a rail station… Read more »
Interesting to see so much blame piled on the Dictator. He deserves it and needs to be held accountable. His failed policies, along with an epidemic of Soros-appointed criminal-loving DAs and the neutering of the police, have resulted in thousands of deaths.
Hay chicago you just voted kim in again, you really want all the trouble that is why you voted her in a secound time.
