Lavelle Mayes was charged with Aggravated Battery of a Senior Citizen after fighting with her 67 yr old mother who was then hospitalized following the beating.
Another article at CWBCHICAGO.COM about a wonderful member of the community out on 3 separate felony cases on low bail bonds and who just killed a 12yr old in a DUI case where he was 5 times over the limit. No bail, low bail really works.

Notably missing from the article was what crime was she charged with? $250K bond I guarantee it wasnt for a parking ticket.
