Nearly 80 community groups now calling for ouster of controversial president of Chicago’s police union John Catanzara – Chicago Tribune*

When elected head of the FOP last year, Catanzara had already been stripped of his police powers. “It is abundantly clear that Catanzara’s record of unprofessionalism, hateful rhetoric and call for killing people disqualify him from serving as a police officer,” states the letter, which was submitted to the Chicago Police Board.

So, if I understand correct, he made an outlandish comment about muslims practicing Sharia law, and this is somehow grounds for removal?

Does anyone else find it ironic that the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois wants to cancel a man for exercising his civil liberty of freedom of speech?

No wonder the ACLU has been irrevelant for years.

These community groups want him out because he’s too hard on crime. Lori is also behind him going so she can manipulate the police contract and give more money to her political patronage groups and the CTU bloodsuckers.
