Chicago to Increase Indoor Dining Capacity for Restaurants, Bars in Easing of Coronavirus Restrictions – NBC5 (Chicago)

Effective Thursday, indoor service at bars, restaurants and events can expand to the lesser of 25% capacity or 50 people per room or floor, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a statement.

And what does that do for any restaurant owner or employee who has suffered thru 12 months of the lockdown nonsense? Almost nothing. How about some outrage from owners and workers? In the restaurant business you are a hero if you can make an 18% profit margin on your sales . Opening at 25% capacity does nothing for you. And how many waitresses, cooks, bartenders, busboys do you need at 25% capacity? These pointless Democrat lockdowns with little evidence that bars and restaurants are a Covid problem have destroyed a portion of the Chicago entertainment sector already.
