Illinois Politicians Point Fingers Over United Center Vaccine Confusion – WBEZ (Chicago)

“FEMA came late in the game here, right, and decided they wanted to change things,” Pritzker said Monday. “As you can imagine, there’s technology involved in this, there’s decisions that need to be made about, ‘Well, if we’re going to exclude other parts of the state like the collar counties, how are we going to serve them?’ It took a little while for the city of Chicago, FEMA and the state to come to some understanding of what the best way to move forward was.”

Over complicating vaccine distribution is stupid.

The central planners are delaying saving lives in the name of equity over equality.

Equity is equal outcomes.

Equality is equal opportunity.

These vaccinations aren’t free, the U.S. taxpayers are footing the bill. All you need do is watch the show up to get it mopes who didn’t realize appointments were arranged on line or by phone to realize some of us are more attentive than others. The fact that suburban residents got there first is a commentary on the locals. Did we not already overpay for their education?

Surprising that Pritzker hasn’t yet blamed Trump and Rauner for this mess.

The city headed by racist Lori and her sycophant Arwady do not want to give vaccines to white people over the age of 65, the disabled, immune compromised, and cancer and heart patients. They are only interested in giving the vaccine to the permanent victim class of any age in order to pander to the south and west side communities to get votes.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
