Gov. Pritzker tries to clear up confusion about vaccine appointment rule changes at United Center – WGNTV (Chicago)

“It’s not a state site, it’s a federal site. We’re very glad to have it. Let me be clear,” Pritzker said. “We get 6,000 doses a day...FEMA decided to change the rules. FEMA decided that there wasn’t enough equity that was being achieved with the location at the United Center.”

The Eligibility requirements are being made up as they go and being enforced differently depending on where you go. Some state representatives have graciously made “arrangements” for doses to be distributed in Elgin at the Center in Elgin on Monday and Tues. Uh huh – special arrangements – no body knows about…Appointments are being coordinated by a church in Elgin. Sounds lovely doesn’t it. My plot thickens here as I have discovered that a City Council Member in Elgin (who is also a teacher in U46) made special arrangements for this vaccine to be distributed in Elgin.

So, are we all getting this? A politician and privileged teacher who is already vaccinated, made special arrangements and syphoned off some quantity of vaccine coming to the state to be distributed the way he wanted. Not SCIENCE…just politics.

This stinks. Politicians need to stay the F#&% out of this distribution process.
