Comment: This response to the Wirepoints op-ed in the Tribune is dead wrong. Legislators would not have unlimited discretion over pensions under the state constitutional amendment we proposed. The U.S. Constitution would still limit pension reform to measures that are fair, necessary and reasonable under the circumstances, as our op-ed stated.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
