A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
All Chicago residents will be sent to this “Presidential Center” for reprogramming.
700,000 visitors per year? 1,900 daily visitors? Someone’s been smoking too much legalized pot while calculating these attendance numbers. That’s a lot of scheduled SJW Saul Alinsky training-classes, and anticipated basketball games in proposed gym facilities here, per year, per day, for Obama SJW Training Center.
Let’s remember, this building won’t be official Obama library, it’s a hybrid community center/political training center paid-for by Chicago taxpayers and millionaire Obama patronage-recipient supporters. I think it’s one of Chicago’s biggest boondoggle projects ever, heavily subsidized by an otherwise “cry-poor” Chicago City Hall.
The location is too far south, and too close to otherwise hostile neighborhoods, to attract all but the most dedicated Obama believers.
Does that number include school field trips?
The economic impact numbers crack me up. Few will choose Chicago as a vacation destination solely on the Obama Center and those that choose to go will cannibalize attendance at other museums. Like downstate casinos, few will venture outside the compound and will take their business back to the tourist district downtown when they’re done.
