Pritzker pushes ‘Time to Drive’ tourism campaign despite high gas prices – Illinois Policy

Gasoline averaged $3.24 in Illinois, with Chicago at $3.58 on May 26. Doing the opposite of what Pritzker advocates is the cheaper option: Every state surrounding Illinois had gasoline cheaper than $3 per gallon, with Missouri the cheapest at $2.73.

Just went shopping yesterday in Janesville, Wi. Sam’s Club and spent $120.00, then to the gas station to fill up at $2.74.9, still $1 higher than the day after the 2020 election but .40 cents per gallon cheaper than Illinois prices near me. No tax money for you JB, it felt good!
