She just doesn’t get it. She is a racist and doesn’t even bother to hide it any longer. And she doesn’t get why it is wrong, bad politics and and an incredibly bad example for young people.
Racism is the point. You think discrimination is wrong but she thinks discrimination against white people is morally right. She believes that discrimination today is the cure for discrimination of the past. The courts and the law disagree with her – you know, the 14th amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964 make discrimination illegal. But just as we think Roe vs. Wade got it wrong, Lori Lightfoot thinks the Civil Rights Act got it wrong too.
