A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
Fear not, everything the progressive does fails, and absent further electoral cheating, or installing a dictatorship, they will fail and the pendulum will swing back the other way in a very harsh manner. I just hope we don’t end up in gulags before the pendulum swings back.
If you want to stop gun violence in Chicago and Cook County, you need to be willing to put offenders behind bars. JB and Kim Foxx have pledged to empty the prisons, so how is this going to work? Pritzker is following a very dangerous path.
Progressives are already defining dissent from their political agenda as “extremism” and declared it dangerous. Now, they are attempting to redefine criminal behavior as a public health emergency.
How long before they declare “extremism” (political dissent) a public health emergency, requiring total executive control? They are already saying it is the biggest terrorist threat the U.S. faces.
The legislature and courts cannot allow the executive to claim emergency power based on criminal behavior. That will push us over the cliff.
For the sake of argument, let’s say that you eliminate all guns in the city. You know the violence between the gangs is not going to stop. So you would think that the next weapon of choice would be knives. What then? Eliminate knives? Maybe baseball bats? Just think of all the tax money that can be made by taxing deadly kitchen utensils! That money could then be “reinvested” in the ‘hood. Midnight basketball anyone?
Everything thats wrong has turned into a health crisis.
Lard Boy is a walking health crisis and would not know what a real health crisis is if it was in from of him.
