New law allows educational support staff to take family leave – Center Square

The law allows an individual who has been employed for at least 12 months and has worked at least 1,000 hours to be eligible for the federal Family and Medial Leave Act. The previous threshold was 1,250 hours.

Another unfunded mandate thanks to “both” sides of the Legislature imposing more costs upon the school districts that will be paid for by the taxpayers.
