State eviction moratorium stands despite U.S. Supreme Court decision on federal order – Capitol News IL

While the governor’s order halts eviction enforcement for covered persons, an Illinois Supreme Court order allows for filings in evictions cases but temporarily stays all judgements and trials on eviction cases pertaining to covered persons.

Taxes/mortgage/upkeep all need to paid if not credit score is in the dumpster and you could lose your property in a tax sale. Tenants don’t really care if they did they would try to make partial payments.

Illinois was given an astounding $835 million in fed arpa housing assistance bucks of which it’s only distributed $228 million.
