Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The protestors are not targeting students.
The protestors are complaining about the mask policy.

So willing to mask their kids yet they have ZERO risk of getting sick. These are the same parents that plop their kids in front of a TV or computer game to keep them quiet – so why not make them wear masks? Silence them again? Masks don’t work – and people in IL need to wake up. Want to be the next Australia???
Kids catch CV, and they get sick, not as often, but they do. And 99% of the time it’s mostly just like a cold or a short flu. It’s just like any of the dozen other respiratory illnesses they get every year and pass on to mom and dad. Kids get the virus but the symptoms often get overlooked, kid goes to school and spreads it around the classroom, and then they go home and give it to grandma/grandpa or some other family member. Crap Fux has an article today about a downstate restaurant that stayed open during phase 3, and didn’t wear masks, and now one year later, a cook just caught covid and died. See? don’t wear a mask and you will die! Disobeying JB’s executive orders is punishable by death!
