Jim Dey: "While polls show Illinoisans are pessimistic about the state of the state for a variety of reasons, there’s little evidence that taxpayers in significant numbers are deeply concerned about the state’s financial strength. At the same time, there is no evidence that Pritzker and state legislators have any interest in changing their approach to fiscal issues."
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
