CPS No Longer Plans To Test All Students, Staff Every Week, Walking Back Promise Made This Summer – Block Club Chicago

The news was met with backlash from some parents and from the Chicago Teachers Union. “We failed. We lied. But, wait, we didn’t need to do that anyway,” Stacy Davis Gates, vice president of the Chicago Teachers Union, said in a tweet criticizing the district’s plan. “You cannot make this up, and we’re wondering why parents are jettisoning our school district. Incompetence. Lies. Subterfuge. Gaslighting.”

Forcing a student at the U of I to test daily now while not requiring a “vaxxed” human to test at all is unconscionable and quite frankly discriminatory. We are watching the 1930’s in Germany become common in Illinois. When will the STARS be worn? Soon I recon.

Good. Most try to test only the unvaccinated, and let the vaccinated spread the virus all they want. It was logical to test everyone for this reason. But obviously CPS can’t run a school or even get water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the bottom. Expecting them to run a testing program was rocket surgery to them.
