An Illinois Democrat has been blasted for describing the deadly Christmas parade rampage in Wisconsin as “Karma” for the acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse. Mary Lemanski, who is listed as the social media director for the Democratic Party in DuPage County, began her heartless online tirade by snarkily dismissing the tragedy as “just self-defense.”

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

I wouldn’t sign anything that codifies ANY speech as “hate speech”. Simply because I believe in free speech, and nobody has the authority to make the decision about what you can say. Such talk is the start of locking up people for thought crimes or conversations, combine that with todays electronic surveillance, cameras, cellphones, Alexa, etc. and you have big brother. No Susan this is stupid and dangerous.
So many broken people out there whose identities are tied entirely to politics. Sad way to go through life.
That there is an active and successful Democratic Party in DuPage County that has this idiot handling social media for them tells me all I need to know about the decline and fall of my former home state.

Solution: promote legislation to label “W-=-e S-=-=-=-=-t” as hate speech.
The WS word is a dog whistle call to tribe members, exhorting and rationalizing violence and lawless behavior.
To label someone a WS without supporting evidence is racist, hateful, hurtful, defamatory, and provocative of illegal behavior toward the target.
We don’t share the same values as these people.
