Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. “These people” have their own truth and they act as a “bodyguard of lies” to the truth of the failures that everyone can see. What does this bodyguard protect? Political corruption and self-enrichment for many, including school administrators and teachers. Credulity on the part of the victims who can be persuaded that it’s not their responsibility or fault. The CEO’s mistake was that he insulted a large portion of his customer base. He should have never texted the mayor about this knowing it would have been discovered in a FOIA request. Stupid move by a Fortune 500 CEO.
As for the mother’s feigned indignation after being called a bad mother, she is a terrible mother and everyone knows it. That’s her legacy in this world for the rest of her life, and the only way she can find repentance is through some sort of religion. I hope she finds it.
Just another example of the death of individuality, a value Americans once held in the highest esteem. The truth sometimes hurts, and we know that the woke crowd doesn’t like truth. The circle of violence will never be broken because the root cause won’t be addressed. The woke crowd blames others and screams with indignation, but that changes nothing. They need to look in the mirror. And why is everyone in Crook County a pastor?
The title of Pastor is more acceptable than shtbag. Isn’t Lori a pastor? She performed a marriage not long ago in MA.
It is true that people living in certain areas face a “very different reality”. But it is not true that the actions (or inaction) of those community members play no role in creating and perpetuating the reality that they now face.
