A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

I just tried calling Toni’s office. The phone number rings and goes to an automated voice that says “President’s Office – you cannot leave a message. Thank you!” and hangs up.
Update. Called my commissioner. Said LOTS of phone calls from residents nearly all of them concerned about children’s activities. There was no exception for Park District or kids indoor activities. That’s horrible that little johnny or deandra in an impoverished area can’t get any indoor physical activity until the get their 2-3 shots of the mRNA vaccine. Apparently, after massive outcry, my local park district said that Cook County issued updated guidance (that I can’t find anywhere on the webpage) that said the order does not apply to children under 18 participating in Park District activities. Covid has brought all the scum to the surface. The City, County, and State are being managed by known bunglers. Piles of Covid tests in the snow! Demanding vaccines that don’t work. All based on tests that don’t really work. What could go wrong?
