Care centers in Will and Kankakee counties were stretched thinner than in any other region of the state, with ICUs at 98% capacity. COVID patients are taking up enough beds at the AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet and AMITA Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee that some emergency room patients are receiving care in the ER lobby instead of a room

“The overwhelming majority of patients filling Illinois hospitals during the surge are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, officials have said.” Unvaxxed and not fully vaxxed are what, 80% of the state? I thought the vaccine worked? I saw a clip today from FL. Gov. Desantis. He had a large sign on the podium that said: EARLY TREATMENT SAVES LIVES. JB complains that the hospitals are filling up with patients because he spent the last year pushing only masks and vaccines.
