Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Pritzker, and Pritzkers in general, are beyond shame, the “Prince Andrews” of billionaire class. Everyone should read Gus Russo’s “Supermob” book, despite its two decades ago publication date, every last work still relevant concerning Pritzker Mob.

All the opposition needs to ask the voters is.
Are you better off with the two dozen or more taxes raised? Then list them.
Do you feel more protected with all the mandates?
Do you agree with the way crime is handled?
Keep it civil and easy to understand. Put numbers on TV ads that are easy to remember like gas taxes were raised 100% not just the word doubled. Most people did not know what gas taxes were.

I hope so but I don’t want to lie to myself. 800,000 more people voted in the gov’s 2018 race than 2014 gov’s race. Almost voter pulled a straight D ticket. The extra turnout wasn’t even proportional for Rauner and JB. It was all JB straight D tickets. Either something amazing happened, like Obama’s Hope & Change first term, or it was the beginning of the massive fraud that D’s do all throughout the state.
