Everybody should watch what’s happening in Chicago. Unions want to export that playbook to the rest of the nation. – Wirepoints on NewsNation

Ted Dabrowski was on with Leland Vittert of NewsNation discussing the power the Chicago Teachers Union has over the lives of the city’s children. He stressed that the union’s power isn’t inherent – it comes from the laws that politicians pass granting government workers the right to collectively bargain, to demand a host of benefits, to strike and more.

Segment starts at 3:00.

Public employees unions should not be allowed to strike. They should not be allowed to contribute union money to any candidates either. All campaigns should be publicly funded and PACS should not be allowed to donate large sums of money. The lobbyists needs to be kicked out too. Greed and power dominates our politics and our public unions. They have a symbiotic relationship with our state legislature.

Light foot just raise a half million from 2 public employee unions and two donors from California. Out of state donors should not be allowed either.

They should have never been able to form a union. Conflict of interest. That is why we are in the financial and educational mess in Illinois.

It is time to ask that workers paid by public money should not have the right to form unions. It is public service. If they do not like it, they should work in the private sector.
The current arrangement formed a privileged cast. The future of the nation is at stake.
