House Bill 4310 was filed in December by state Rep. Charles Meier. The bill seeks to address issues with the state's mail-in vote system and would give county clerks the ability to turn down a voter registration if the clerk believes the registration is fake or if the voter has passed away or moved.
My late mother died in February of 2020 and the Sangamon County clerk mailed an application for a mail in ballot to her in July of 2020.
