More than 50 attorneys sign letter to Lightfoot urging her to abandon new ordinance targeting gang members – Chicago Tribune*

“We regularly represent Chicagoans who bear the brunt of CPD’s unlawful, racist policing,” the letter says. “Our clients don’t just want to be free from state violence — they want to live in safe, healthy, thriving communities. But for the reasons described further below, the Victims Justice Ordinance will only further the inequities that plague our city.”

“Our clients want unfettered freedom to loot, to rob, and to pillage residents and businesses without impunity, as is their “equity-seeking” civil right as “reparations” to do so!”

I can only imagine the sewer rat ambulance chasers that signed that letter. Cops are the attorneys best friends, regularly delivering paying customers to their blood sucking fangs.

Can’t read the article but I have to wonder if Lightfoot takes whatever assets they have then they won’t be able to pay their attorney. Could that be the issue?
