Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Pritzkers ego has allowed him to lose all sense of reality in view of his own Democrat party legislature not backing him. I question at this point if perhaps he should seek professional medical help. I don’t think his money can buy his way out of this one
Well, the data seems to suggest masks did little, if any good…
But, no pun intended, JB, is this about ego?
It’s about the teachers unions. My child said nearly every teacher in school still wearing a magical shaman rag on their face.
For sure. Two add’l points: At a suburban HS where my friend teaches, neither she nor any of her Science Dept colleagues are wearing masks, while the English Dept started double-masking. Yes, it appears to be ego – there’s no ‘science’ or ‘data’ to support his draconian mandates OR his constant renewal of executive powers.
Where’s the legislature?
Be careful what you wish for. Our legislature, up until JB’s polling tanked, is so crazy, that would have locked you down in your own home for two years and forced you to wear a mask in the shower even if you lived alone. These people think a 9 month old child in womb is just a clump of tissue. You think they care for your civil liberties?
I agree. Be careful what you wish for. We had a number of Democrats vote to take away citizen’s right to conscience. Many are unhinged Marxists. They need to be replaced with people of Integrity, Morals, Knowledge of the law and a spine to do what is right and represent the people and not themselves.
