During the first year, Illinois residents bought $496 million or 74% of total sales while out-of-state residents bought the remaining 26%. The next year total sales more than doubled to $1.38 billion. That year, Illinoisans bought $943 million or 68% with out-of-state residents purchasing $436 million or 32%.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
