Somebody needs to clue Pritzker in that the Covid crisis is old news and the new crisis is Russia, Russia, Russia to mold the voters minds for the upcoming midterms.

If it isn’t one distraction it’s another. Anything to shift attention from the administration’s disasters: Afghanistan, inflation, COVID mandates, closed pipelines, open southern border, rising gas prices, etc. Total mismanagement.

Where’s Fauci? Haven’t seen or heard from him since mid-February. Guess polling shifted and he’s out.

What irks me is that politicians and the media play us for fools. And, yes, Riverbender, you’re spot on … it’s all political theater to mold minds for the upcoming midterms.

Bah!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
