The state legislature needs to hold rogue prosecutors like her accountable. By declining to prosecute crimes, she is defacto changing the state penal code using her own discretion. She thinks she has a license to do so by the voters yet she TOOK AN OATH to uphold constitution. Recall!
The only relevant piece of data is the number of violent crimes committed by perpetrators with a history of encounters with a criminal justice system that released them back into the community.
When almost all offenders are first -time offenders, I will consider the possibility that too many people are being incarcerated. But as long as the situation is exactly the opposite, I will stick with the opposite conclusion- that far too many are let out.

Maybe Cook County should exploring the idea of the state attorney prosecuting criminals and judges sentencing those found guilty of serious crimes to long terms in a place called prison. Perhaps sending a message and removing the worst of society would have an impact.
