I read once, and I can’t find the link for the life of me, that Jesse had a lot of family members working for the IL SOS. It was a scandal in 2006 when he promoted his daughter to a $100k a year job and he survived that which gave him cover to hire the rest of his family. Glenna Jones was listed as a SENIOR EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT in 2021 w/ salary of $158,300, which was a 7% increase over her 2020 salary in the same position. She’s probably pushing 60 now, and with nearly 30 years in the SOS office under her belt, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her retire alongside her daddy. Thanks for finding this article, I think there is one more out there showing the full extent of his family’s infiltration of the SOS. He sucked millions of dollars for his family out of that office. That’s why he never had ambition to move up and on.
