They can take as long as they want. He’ll be dead before this thing ever gets to trial. But at least he won’t be sleeping very well between now and the day the Grim Reaper shows up.

The usual politicans outcome after being arrested and charged in their later years. They are too sick to stand trial so for compassionate reasons no trial or they die. Ed Burke is in the same boat.
