Lightfoot is f^^king clueless – Bears fans can’t wait to dump Soldier Field — most of their fan base is in the NW suburbs — why would they wan to deal with downtown traffic/crime-thugs when they can see the game in a modern field close to where they live
I’d bet most of their fanbase is in the collar county suburbs. To your point when we still lived in Ill-annoy our town was 35 miles from The Loop (and by extension, Soldier Field). Not even taking into account the skyrocketing crime, a drive into Chicago on I-55 to Lake Sh, sorry, Jean Baptiste DuSable Drive and Soldier Field on a Sunday would’ve taken us roughly two hours from our house given how screwed up traffic was then and is now.
