"The bottom line is that growing up without a father is a huge factor in America’s violence problem and one that needs to be addressed. The state laid the groundwork with the creation of the Illinois Council on Responsible Fatherhood in 2004, 18 years before Florida signed its bill. It’s high time that Illinois commits to funding it."

I would wager that none of these fathers have ever been nominated for a Nobel Prize. Has anyone looked into what these fathers do for a living? Probably not corporate leaders. Another probably the most important reason is that the single moms get much more money from programs than if they were married or had a responsible adult male in the household. The state incentivizes single motherhood. A bill was proposed back in 2016 that would require a fathers name on the birth certificate but was shot down almost immediately. Jeanne Ives was mentioned.
