There’s petroleum deposits under Lake Michigan…
There is oil downstate. Is that oil refined in Robinson IL? Hell no! Illinois producers must pay marathon (who owns the refinery) to pipe the oil to Ohio to be refined. The Robinson refinery imports oil from Saudi Arabia.
Unfortunately it is low BTU, high Sulfur content coal.
Climate activists are worse than Hitler. They know and understand that human life as it is now is not sustainable without fossil fuels. They understand very well that hundreds of millions will die in short order without access to cheap reliable energy. Yet, they forge ahead knowing the death and destruction their policies will cause.
