A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

Doesn’t Boeing understand that Chicago is a leader in race equity and favors abortion on demand? Didn’t this come up in their talks about moving?
If BA moving wasn’t a big deal, why did IL and Chicago scramble 20 years ago to beat out DIA and DFW for the HQ with an incentive package? Va nor Arlington are offering incentives – it’s just better there already. Also, defense jobs require serious tech employees who can pass security – something not in Chicago much by a long shot. These kind of employees see little value in the urban nonsense of Chicago.
No big loss as Boeing never brought a single manufacturing job here.
Chicago will be losing taxpaying workers but it’s no big seal. The move outs will be replaced by some uninvited recent border hoppers. They won’t pay taxes but thats no big deal because to the illinois Democrats a vote is what is important.
To be fair Boeing was always essentially HQ in DC, that’s where the pigs feed at the trough. Chicago was an operational HQ, centrally located, for management logistics. It’s still a lose for Chicago but DC has become the new capital city for our 21st century Corporatist fascist rulers.
Lori thinks Boeing is just a bunch of old white guys playing. She’ll play it down or put a positive spin as it will free up space for all the AA manufacturing jobs storming the city. Maybe space for a new federal building! Of course if the feds move to 777 Wacker, they’ll just be forced to demolish that building too! It’s a Wim-Wim!

There will be some other HQ’s heading out Chicagoland – BA is a pacesetter for many large corps.
No surprise that Boeing is dumping high crime, high carjacking, high tax, high corruption, anti-business Chicago and Illinois. New GOP Gov. Youngkin has stolen a big prize from Chicago. Boeing won’t be the last corporate giant to dump Chicago.
