Illinois bill would no longer require vehicles to have front license plates – FOX32 (Chicago)

A big push for the bill is that it could save the state $800,000 a year in plate production and preserve the styling of newer and classic cars.

Take a look at license plates from Texas or Indiana. They are made from a durable plastic(?) or a composite material that doesnt rust, fade, peel or fall apart. Illinois, metal rust bucket plates made by some politicians relative.

Plus it will be easier on the carjackers and car thieves to only remove the one plate after taking your sweet ride to the chop shop.

Yeah, that’s a real reason to require a front plate. If you are truly an ex Illini, the school has obviously lowered its admission requirements.
