Duckworth shares plan to make gas price gouging illegal – WICS (Springfield)

Sen. Tammy Duckworth introduced the legislation in March. She says a committee would be created to review prices and the justice department would then pursue any companies accused of price gouging.

It’s political theater designed to distract from the mess we’re in.

Ms. Duckworth and Mr. Durbin MUST GO!

Gas stations practically lose money on selling gas, the mini marts make it up. Okay Tammy so if you see a station that is 4 cents higher than the station down the block, they are gouging by your definition? If every station in the state is within .10 cents of each other, who is actually gouging? My point being there is no wide variations, and nobody is gouging. You however have made our money valueless, that will make everything cost more. So basically you are the gouger.

Ad hominem attacks are wrong, but at what point is it okay to declare someone’s lack of intelligence dangerous? She’s simply not that smart…. As long as there’s no collusion, I appreciate the ability to see how companies react…. Those companies that refrain from an unnecessary increase in price will win my business. Those who try to screw me will lose it…. It’s not hard to know…. Well, maybe if you don’t understand adulting – you know, the ability to search the news on the web, etc…. (WSJ, etc…)

If IL was smart enough, it would kick her out of office in Nov. because of this stupid bill alone.

She is doing virtually nothing and then crowing about it! Typical Dem chasing a non existent problem and doing nothing about the root causes of the actual problem.

Tammy Duckworth apparently thinks that stealing talking points from Elizabeth Warren will elevate her national profile. Really bad idea to copy off the class clown.

She has to do something. Her leaning on her disability is wearing thin!

Okay Tammy, all prices are rising not because someone raised them intentionally. Prices are rising because the democrats made our money valueless, by fiat, with money printing. Take an economics class please.

Wherever there is money there will be stealing. Tammy should simply slouch in her chair to indicate her displeasure. The lower she goes the more displeased she becomes. She’s a true barometer.

Dimwit Duckworth isn’t qualified to run a lemonade stand. Recognize your limitations already. Sit down, shutup and be thankful you live in Illinois, where anybody can become senator apparently.

That is right.
But she earns $174k a year.
Exemptions should be means tested, like other tax credits.

Pay your fair share Duckie,

Price gouging only seems to exist when a Dem is in the White House. Odd.
