Unemployment Down, Jobs Up In Illinois – WMAY (Springfield)

The April jobless rate fell to 4.6%, down one-tenth of one-percent from March. One year ago, unemployment stood at 6.6%.

Call me crazy I feel but now that IL is finally recovering, these recent hires will again be the first to laid off with forthcoming mass layoffs on the horizon…..retail is suffering, wal-mart, amazon said they have too many employees, housing is about to tank, mortgage has already tanked, media and especially streaming is paring back, trucking and shipping is experiencing a massive slow down, oil prices are too high causing economic pain to businesses such as target, construction is slowing down massive, especially new home starts…
